DRAFT — REVIEW BEFORE LAUNCH
Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-22 · This is a draft template. Review with legal counsel before production use.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your language preference or whether you are signed in — so you don't have to re-enter it each time. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, work in comparable ways.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies in three categories:
- Essential cookies — required for the service to function. These include session authentication tokens and security identifiers. You cannot opt out of these while using the service.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it. These are used only in aggregate and do not identify you individually. These are opt-in where required by law.
- Marketing cookies — used only if you have consented to receive personalised communications. Markseera does not run advertising campaigns; if marketing cookies are present they relate solely to our own product communications.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
mm-region | Stores your selected region preference | 1 year |
mm-currency | Stores your selected currency preference | 1 year |
mm-locale | Stores your selected language preference | 1 year |
mm-theme | Stores your light/dark/system theme preference | 1 year |
sb-* | Supabase authentication session tokens (access + refresh) | Session / 30 days if "Remember me" |
4. Third-party cookies
If analytics or monitoring integrations are enabled (which is configurable per deployment), third-party cookies may be set by our analytics provider to measure aggregate usage patterns. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes. Specific third-party services in use are listed in the platform's privacy notice for your deployment.
5. Managing your cookies
You can manage your preference and privacy settings at any time in Settings → Privacy. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in. For browser-level instructions, refer to your browser's documentation.
