Documentation
Everything you need to get the most out of Markseera.
Getting started
Markseera is a research and alerts platform for individual investors. You can browse market data, build a watchlist, set price and event alerts, read curated insights from registered analysts, and ask our AI assistant questions about any stock, sector, or market topic.
To get started, create a free account. No credit card is required. You can upgrade to Pro or Premium at any time from the subscription page.
Creating your account
- Sign up at /auth/signup using your phone number (OTP), email address, or Google account.
- Verify your email — if you registered with email, check your inbox for a verification link. Your account is fully active after verification.
- Complete your profile — add your display name and set your region and currency preferences in Settings.
Your watchlist
The watchlist lets you follow up to 5 stocks on the Free plan, or an unlimited number on Pro and Premium. Add any stock by searching in the top nav or from the Market page. Your watchlist is synced across devices.
Watchlist items display the latest price, percentage change, and any active alerts you have set for that stock. Tap a stock to open its detail view, where you can see historical charts, analyst insights, and related news.
Alerts
Alerts notify you when a condition you define is met — for example, when a stock crosses a price threshold, when a company announces earnings, or when a new analyst insight is published for a stock you follow.
- Creating an alert: Open any stock's detail page, tap "Add alert", choose your trigger condition, and select your delivery channels (email, push, SMS).
- Delivery channels: Email is available on all plans. Push notifications and SMS require Pro or higher.
- Alert limits: Free accounts can hold up to 3 active alerts. Pro and Premium have no limit.
Insights
Insights are structured research notes authored by registered analysts. Each insight includes the author's SEBI registration number (where applicable), the stock(s) covered, and the analyst's assessment. Insights are not investment recommendations — they represent individual analyst views.
Free accounts can read the latest insight summary for each stock. Full insight access, including historical archives and analyst attribution detail, requires a Pro or Premium subscription.
AI chat
The AI chat assistant can answer research questions, summarize news, compare companies, explain financial concepts, and surface relevant data from your watchlist. It does not give personalised investment advice, predict price movements, or suggest specific securities to acquire or divest.
- Free and Pro accounts: up to 50 queries per day.
- Premium accounts: unlimited queries.
- AI responses may be inaccurate or out of date — always verify important claims through primary sources.
Connections (MCP)
Markseera supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which allows compatible AI tools and IDE extensions to read your watchlist, alerts, and portfolio data as context when you're working. For example, you can ask an AI coding assistant to "look at my Markseera watchlist" to factor your current positions into a financial planning script.
- Read scope: allows external tools to read your watchlist, alert definitions, and portfolio snapshot (if broker-linked).
- Write scope: allows external tools to create or modify alerts on your behalf. You'll be prompted to confirm write-scope access separately.
- MCP connections are available on Pro and Premium plans. Manage connections in Settings → Connections.
Read-only broker linkage
You can link a supported brokerage account to Markseera to display your current holdings alongside market data. This connection is strictly read-only — Markseera cannot place, modify, or cancel any orders. We request only the minimum permissions required to display your portfolio balance and positions.
Supported brokers and linkage instructions are listed in Settings → Connections. Broker linkage is available on Pro and Premium plans.

FAQ
- Can I use Markseera to place a transaction?
- No. Markseera is a research and alerts product. We do not execute transactions, accept orders, or hold funds. Any broker linkages are strictly read-only.
- Is my broker login stored on Markseera's servers?
- No. Broker connections use OAuth-based token flows. Your brokerage credentials are never sent to or stored on Markseera servers. We hold only a read-only access token issued by the broker.
- How accurate is the AI assistant?
- The AI can make mistakes, especially for recent events or niche securities. Always verify important facts through primary sources (exchange filings, official company announcements) before making any financial decision.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes. You can request a full export of your account data (watchlist, alert history, chat history) from Settings → Privacy → Export my data. Exports are delivered by email as a JSON archive within 48 hours.
- How do I delete my account?
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. Your data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- What does the "no-execution guarantee" mean?
- It means Markseera is architecturally incapable of executing transactions. There are no buy or sell order flows anywhere in the product, no brokerage integrations that allow writes, and no payment flows for transaction execution. This is a design constraint, not just a policy.
